For example, in winter, taking feel likes and wind-chill's out of the equation, for my location I find:

Above warm: Above 17C
Warm: 14C - 16.9C
Mild: 10C to 14.9C
Cool: 8C - 9.9C (9C average max for Portsmouth's coldest month - February)
Chilly: 6C - 7.9C
Cold: 1C - 5.9C
Frigid: Below Freezing

So what about you? What do you find above warm, warm, mild, cool, chilly, cold and frigid for winter?

Based on when I was living in the Pacific Northwest:

Daytime highs:

Warm= above 60F
Mild= 50-60 F
Cool= 40-50
Cold= 30s
Frigid= Very rare. (20s?)

Night time lows

Warm: above 50F
Mild: 40-50 F
Cool: 32-40 F
Cold: Less than 32 F
Frigid: Anything in the 20s.

Average winter temps are therefore usually in the "cool" range for me. Now that I'm in the Northeast, I guess things will be somewhat different.

Ah... so few people living in a Continental climate at altitude.

Above Warm: Above 60F (15.5C)
Warm: 50 - 60F (10 - 15.5C)
Mild: 40 - 50F (4.5 - 10C)
Cool: 32 - 40F (0 - 4.5C)
Chilly: 21 - 32F (-7 - 0C)
Cold: 1 - 20F (-17 - -7C)
Frigid: Below 0F (-18C)

We get plenty of sunlight during the day, so it doesn't really feel cold until it's 20F. It takes a little while, but you get used to the temps. I've shoveled snow in just a long sleeve shirt and jeans when it's 25F and not felt cold.
