I think these 'Improved climates' are a good idea so I decided to do one with my home city, Melbourne. I've tried to keep the average yearly minimum and maximum temperatures the same, as well as the yearly rainfall. However, I've added warmer summers, colder winters (with snow ), less rain days and about 500 extra hours of sunshine. How do you think it stacks up to the original climate of Melbourne? Personally I'd give it an A, but that might or might not be bias

Summers are great but winters are too cold for me. I want my winters warm enough to just get away with a hoodie and only using the heater at night. It's a C+ but an improvement over the real Melbourne though. Love those those sunshine hours.

If you had kept the Melbourne winters it would have been an A-

As it is, it gets a B- for the winters.. outside of that it's ok, although May and September could be a bit warmer as well.

Much better than the current Melbourne! Not sure what I rated it now, but I think it was a B, id make it a solid B. To Cold in winter mind. But summer is almost perfect, just needs to be 2 or 3 degrees warmer. Sunshine good year round, perhaps needs more rain in summer...

It's a large improvement over the current Melbourne, really love the winters with a high chance to see snow every year. I would rate this a C+.

Noice. Those winters seem a little too mild to see that many snow days though, but in the context of a subtropical climate that could work.

Summer highs could be a little lower.

B-.

Edit: It seems to be quite similar to Lynchburg, VA, with the exception of the precipitation.
