I'm going with Honolulu, for more pleasant summers and warmer winters. Key West has a nice climate, but I think that sometimes the summers can be too sultry, and the possibility of winter cold snaps also brings it down a notch for me.
Honolulu for the sea breeze. Key West winters getting cold snaps? They look pretty much frostproof, especially compared to even mainland South Florida. How often do they have highs in the 50s in winter? I'm willing to bet that it's much rarer than L.A.

Key West' cold snaps aren't as chilly as mainland South Florida, but they do sometimes get days that don't even reach 70F in the winter, with nights in the low 50sF. Key West had a record low of 41F--by contrast, Honolulu, at sea-level, had a record low of 52F.
Key West is never as cold as mainland South Florida, 41 record low in KW, is much higher than 27 F record low in Miami.
