Yes as it wont be moving that far from its current spot it will remain as the same station, with the records & all. This will be the 3rd time it has moved, as the original station was in operation from 1973 to 1986, before it was moved, again within the Daedalus site...

All 50 states including Hawaii are below freezing, so +7 way up near Mount McKinley in Alaska is pretty mild by comparison.

This pattern is what we call the Siberian Express. Get used to it. I have a feeling it will be making frequent stops in the US this coming winter


And no not all El Nino's would produce warmer winters in CONUS.

The type of El Nino that is shaping up in the Pacific now is a weak/moderate one with it's strongest anomalies being in the central Pacific (aka Modiki).

Modiki winters are notorious for being cold stormy weather in the US
