I returned recently from a trip to South America. One of the places I visited was Quito Ecuador. Right on the Equator and at 9000 feet elevation it is contant Spring. Near every day of the year the sun rises at 6AM and sets at 6PM. The trees and grass are green year around. It is like Ground Hog Day.

Would you like to live in a place like this with no seasons and 12 hours of daylight 365 days a year? Never gets below 45 at night and over 75 during the day.

Rate this climate.

I'm already bored when the climate stays the same for a week, so a whole year seems a bit extreme....

but with those perfect conditions it might tolerable though. At least that's an experience.

If it had 2500 hours or more sunshine then it would be preferable to many climates. I would probably live there, but 70-75F would be a definite yes.

It's also cloudy 70% of the time but it's green and lush with no severe weather.

Don't like it: need more sunshine and warmer summers. Cloudy with drizzle is boring. Give me a hard rain day and then 5 days of sun.

Here's a California climate that has average highs between 65-70 all year round but they have more sunshine and more variation with heat waves. It has that pesky marine layer that can keep things overcast and in the low 60s all day in July but it can get up into the 90s in December.

No i need variation over the year, this while being a pleasant climate would become boring after a while.

its always topped around 30-34 and low around 22-24 here, (degrees celcius), near sea level about half a degree north equator. sunrise/set also around 6am/6pm year round. so i'm used to it.

If it's going to be the same temperature every day, I'd prefer something a bit warmer. I could do Portland's summers year round. High 81 and low 55 nearly every day. Rain about 4 times a month.

I prefer the changes that the seasons provide. What would winter be without snow? I could however have it a little warmer in the winter - no temperatures below -20F.
