Anyway I can't believe -20C is recorded in a country like Greece!

Hahaha a village in Florina reached in 1993 a temperature of -31 C. The city had -29 C that day. Florina is the coldest city in Greece and the snowiest. We call Florina "Mother of Snow"

Awesome! Empty streets in the cold and snow. Nice quick conversion there to Celsius.

Florina, the town is situated at 684 m (2244 ft) in altitude, and many villages are at a much higher altitude

Exactly! And as you see it is not blocked by mountains from N and NE so the cold arrives! :P

Interesting vid and I think you're love for that kinda cold is rather insane.

How on earth did you manage to get someone to go walking with you at those ridiculously cold temperatures?
Especially considering that other person had an accent that implied that they were from a TROPICAL CLIMATE which makes L.A. look downright frigid?

Yeah, my dad was a bit reluctant to come on the trip, but I managed to drag him along. He is from Surat, India, which is tropical like you said.

He ended up really enjoying the mountain scenery and the festive atmosphere of the region. He looked a bit hilarious wearing his enormous winter coat with 4-5 layers underneath.

As a side note, the surface of my hands and fingers were starting to freeze by the end of the vid. It was incredibly painful. I think you can hear how frantic I was to turn off the cam and put my gloves back on by the end. I even got some mild frostnip during those two minutes - it's still not totally healed.

Your dad should pay you back by taking you on a trip to Death Valley in July and a nice long hike at 3PM on the open sun .
