Indeed. Look at the weather forecast thread. Didn't you know that late December weather is 11/8C in London. Not above average mind you, which for London in December is 8.3/2.7C according to the Met Office.
If those temps were even .1C below average the poster would have made sure you knew it was below average lol. I'm tired of pointing out the sleight of hand used when it comes to the climate of London.
Although the forecast I posted was for early December, where the average high is between 9-10c (and majority of days had 9c highs) . The forecast also had days with highs of 5-6c and a low of -1, which are further below average than the warmest day (11c) is above, early in the month. Nice try, but complete rubbish, and a bit hypocritical of you trying to accuse me of sleight of hand.
I believe Irlinit posted some photos from suburban Surrey, in the winter thread. The trees still had a few leaves on, typically they aren't completely bare until late December or early January.

That forecast wasn't for "early" December. It was posted on the 10th, and went out 14 days.
The majority of that forecast was above average.
Let me guess, highs of 10-12C, and lows of 6-9C are just average weather for Dec 16-23rd? Yeah right. An avg high for mid-late December of 11C with low of 7.5C is 9.3C mean temp. So 9.3C vs Dec average mean of 5.5C is 3.8C above average.
You expect mean to believe that if these temps or any month temps for London were 3.8C below average, you wouldn't boldly exclaim what a crap below average or even well below average forecast it was?
Stop accusing me of something I didn't do or say. When I posted that link, 4-5 days had highs of 10-11, 3 days were 5-6 an the rest were 8-9c. Lows were -1 to 7. In other words, completely normal December weather.

Time to re-post the 14 day for London then since it changed so drastically. This time "well above average" would be appropriate since that is exactly what 7F on a mean temp is.
Here I'll do it:
London forecast - well above average for December:

That forecast is 2.3c (4.1f, not 7) above the mean temp, but that's not the forecast I posted originally. I don't know what your problem is? I didn't even say the original forecast was above or below average.
There was fog and light frost that didn't cease during day. That's the result.
