November in Malta, like the rest of Europe, was well above average & it was one of the warmest Novembers on record (possibly the warmest, according to the Balzan weather station)...

Where I live, the coldest November on record was in 1976. The following winter was the 6th coldest on record.

Also, November 1898 & 1911 were among the top 10 coldest and were followed by a top 10 cold winter.

Rain (mm): 148.7
Rainy Days: 19.6
Sun Hours: 71.2
% of Sunshine: 27%

Both max and min temps where slightly above average, well above average rainfall, and sunshine was below average. A dull and wet month!

Do you know where to get Southsea data from? I can't find it anywhere

When I search for Portsmouth it takes me to Southampton

You wont get any current official data for Portsmouth at all now, not sure what figures he is using, but only Met Office station near to Portsmouth (with accessible data) is Solent MRSC, which will be a little cooler than Portsmouth itself...
