Normally, the central valley has a **** climate with cold dense fog and low sunshine hours in winter but this time I'm a tad jealous. Not a single solitary drop of rain from this system in my Orange County suburb.
They are predicting rain on Sunday for your neck of the woods. None for N. CA this time.
Seems like it's rotating. December rain for both, January rain for S. CA. early Feb rain for N. CA. late Feb rain for S. CA.
After the lovely atmospheric river event we had at the beginning of the month we've gotten nothing since with nothing forecast for the rest of the month. Disgusting.
The good news is that rain is in the forecast for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. There is a low pressure system dropping out of the Gulf of Alaska into Southern California! This should also build the snowpack in the mountains as well as snow levels will drop as low as 3,500 feet!

That is good news, but the core of the wet season is likely over as March approaches. Temps have been so far above average in that area that snowpack is running only 5-10% of average.

This season has been so wacky, I wouldn't discount the possibilty of big storms in March or even April. The rainy season is very variable there, precipitation values can be widely different from average.
