Ah. How low is visibility down there? I remember the coast frequently have cool misty weather in spring. Biggest contrast I remember was 50°F in Boston, 80°F here sometime in May.
We have an advisory out. Its less than 1/2 mile in spots but mostly less than a mile. Winds from the ocean still? Front didn't move? Haven't checked much

DENSE FOG WILL BE REDUCED TO 1/4 OR LESS. MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO
USE CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING. CONDITIONS SHOULD GRADUALLY IMPROVE LATER IN THE AFTERNOON AS A WARM FRONT MOVES THROUGH THE AREA.
The sun is fighting to come out, it got very bright outside and I caught a glimpse of it, but that didn't last long. We have another dense fog advisory in place until tonight, so I don't think the skies will be clearing until then.
Temps aloft (4500') in the 60s the surface struggled past 40s most of today in CT, RI, & MA.
Back edge of clouds now entering central PA. Gees. Look at Bridgeport, 42° at 3pm!?! Gees.
Unlike yesterday where the winds were coming off the cold waters from the NE, today its coming from the south but the waters are still cold enough. Plus the clouds (and maybe moisture) keeping surface temps cool.
At Islip, the latest first occurrence of 60F was April 12, 1984.
If we can fail to reach it tomorrow, then it'll be a new record.
*fingers crossed*
Forecasts say 58F but with a 55 degree sun angle they can easily underestimate.
Undoubtedly we will hit 60F on Saturday.
