It's at a relatively higher elevation (310 m) but it's a bit north of White Mountains which have peaks up to 1900 m high.


Also heavy cloud cover and a cold flow out of the NW have helped as well.

April 29, 2002. Records since 1999 only. I thought would be in May but elevation is only 1600'

I'll post max temp map after 8:30pm when it updates.

Memory test. When were we talking about the central ridge warmup and we thought might be "the summer look" ? Wasn't that in March?

Anyway.. Looking like that again coming up. East stays seasonable. New england cool and normal next 2 weeks.

Saranac Lake had a high of 39 F (4 C) on May 18th also, and 42 F the following day. Quite the Late May cold snap.
