Can't wait for Thurs morning!!! Curious to see how low I drop. Always tough to get into the 30s in summer but I have to remember it's only still mid May.

We will go from the mid 80's with possibly 70 degree dew points this weekend back down to a high of 50 degrees by next Tuesday (though some models are indicating it won't get that cool)..... Midwest

I can't imagine that drought conditions will continue in Texas after all this rain....

Good point on that.. Usually we have them once in May at least here...not this year.

Forecast lows for tomorrow.
I can't believe we were done with 30s in April this year. Maybe.. we'll see.
Definitely done with freezes and frosts here.

The eastern Great Lakes and especially the Northeast has been the epicenter of positive anomaly temps these first two weeks of May

Now Spain has also broken the 40°C border.
To be more exact it was broken on Gran Canaria, in Tasarte.
There are great conditions for high temperatures, when a heatwave happens, like right now

The inland places of the island can warm up without being restricted by the cool Atlantic Ocean ( SST ca 70°F/ 21°C right now)

Tasarte 41,2/25,0°C mean temperature 33,1°C

Agüimes 37,7/30,1°C mean temperature 33,9°C ( A low temperature above 30°C is very impressive)

San Bartolome Tirajana, Lomo Pedro Alfonso 37,0/31,1°C mean temperature 34,1°C

Some of the Coastal Places stayed very mild.
Las Palmas Port 23,8/19,2°C
El Tiempo. Datos: Canarias - Resúmenes diarios anteriores - Mapa - Temperatura máxima (°C) - Agencia Estatal de Meteorología - AEMET. Gobierno de España

Today's gonna be very warm there again.

This Tenerife Livecam shows the hazy conditions on the Canary Islands right now.

The wind from the Sahara is responsible for the heat and the sand in the air.
It's called Calima on the Canary Islands
