This is the highest temperature in Europe in 2015 up til now, and the 90°F boundary has been broken.

I've noticed this March that there's been stronger surges of warm air across the Great Plains. Already in the 80s/90s in SD and NE? I would imagine this map for those would be more typical if it were April 30th instead of March 31st.

Maybe a sign of things to come this summer?
lol. Yup. Few of us said that too. Was probably the Northeast snowpack which made it hard for the warmth to surge north in the East.

Speaking of which... Still hanging around..

90.9% of Northeast still with snow on ground. Its April tomorrow. Just insane no matter how thin it is. My neighbors house on right .http://www.nohrsc.noaa.gov/nsa

Actually current map is yesterdays. Gees. Waiting for them to update but can't imagine it be less than 85% anyway.

Aemet is the Spanish meteorological service, so i think it's official.
Alicante is not the only place which has been warm, the whole Southern Med Coast of Spain had temperatures far above average, yesterday.

The March Record has been 32,6°C for Alicante on the 25.3.1988.

They were really close to breaking the record yesterday.

There's the Alberta clipper dropping SouthEast. 1006mb Low. (Moisture follows the Upper Level flow (500mb Orange Lines) Snowing across Northern PA and SW NY. Temps in the 40s here, should start as rain until the cold NW push comes in.

Ok your taking the last 30 years, a rolling average, not the 30 year base period 1981-2010.

Meanwhile back in CHI

Yeah, I recognize that 1981-2010 is the standard, but some stations (such as KISP) don't have averages as far back as 1981.
