So for the 2014-2015 "winter" here in south florida I wanted to make a thread documenting our lows(30s) (40s) and (50s). As well as our warm lows (70s). I also will include highs in the (40s) (50s) and (60s) as well as those in the (80s) and (90s) I am using statistics from november first untill march 31st. The weather lows and highs will be taken from my (unofficial) backyard weather station in key biscayne fl.

For reference if a low in in the 40s it will count as both 50s and 40s. Same for highs in the 90s

COLD COLD WARM WARM

Minimums. Maximums. Minimums. Maximums

Lows in the 30s:0 Highs in the 40s:0 Lows in the 70s:13 Highs in the 80s:12

Lows in the 40s:1 Highs in the 50s:0. Highs in the 90s: 0

Lows in the 50s:9 Highs in the 60s: 2

Lowest (so far): 49.7 Lowest (so far): 65.2 Highest(so far): 76. Highest (so far): 84

Please discuse below.

...and I will be using data from an official quality controlled NWS station, Port Salerno 5W, though I don't consider where I live South Florida.

The highest temperature since Nov 1 has only been 84F?

It's only in my wildest dreams that I could experience the joy and ecstacy of experience a South Florida winter for the rest of my life where even the coldest of cold snaps have highs hovering around 45-50F and almost all the rest of the time you have beach weather! You guys are really lucky

With the warm weather, you also get the crazies though. Lots of weird people there too.

Saw some real characters there (fort myers and orlando), even worse than downtown Winnipeg which is bad.

I am near the water...usually not so hot at my house but if winds are from the east the lows are warmer than the airport.

For me central Florida is the luckiest, as they regularly see crisp air in the winter but still no worries of snow or ice.

Same with me. Luckily for PR, Florida absorbs a lot of the crazy mainlanders and Canadians who can't compose themselves properly in a tropical climate. You know what I mean? I think the Aussies call it "going troppo". Also happens a lot in Spain amongst the northern European tourists, it's like they release their inner inhibitions whenever the sun is out and 60-70 degrees in winter. Quite funny
