As we speak, cold air is building in the Yukon Territory, a location ideal for Arctic air to plunge southward across the entire United States.

This is still very far out (in the Jan 12th-end of the month range), but I do believe that it is very viable at this point. Most reaches of our country should keep a very close eye on it as the computer models I have been looking at it have been handling the cold differently with each run. Some go absolutely brutal with less precip behind it (yeah the below zero stuff in the midwest), while others are still strong, but not ice age strong, with more precip overrunning behind it.

SA, thanks for the warning. I'm sure it'll make some people happy, but not me. I'm ready for spring.
