That isn't a bad climate, just too dry for my liking. Almost a desert. Again, the variety in the Seattle area far exceeds anything in the UK. Three hours from London is still basically the same climate as London.
if we talk about sunny and dry weather in Washington, try Kennewick - 3.5 hours east of Seattle with around 300 sunny days a year and only 197 mm of rain (7.76 inches) which is drier than Los Angeles.
from May to September Kennewick gets 27-28 completely sunny (100% sunshine) days a month. It only has 3 "gloomier" months - December, January and February with "only" 12-15 clear days per month.
Walla Walla has 108 rainy days (20 inches) and Kennewick only gets 72 (7.8 inches). There is no other place in Washington that has the climate of Tri-Cities
yes maybe the last few years have been sunnier because if you look at the official stats for Pasco, you will see many months from March to November that got 27-28 clear days and only 0-4 gloomy.
That is a key difference between London and Seattle. Though Seattle is cool in summer compared to most of the US, all they have to do is drive a bit and get very hot weather. A person in London would have to drive hundreds of miles to get those kind of summer temperatures.
They would have to drive over 1000 miles to Southern Spain.
