There must be other places than Vancouver that have hit 400+ hours in one month. I'm sure Victoria BC must have, and maybe places in eastern Washington? Spokane etc.?

If Vancouver has hit 400 hours in a month, then Seattle has too.

the climates are almost identical! I never realized how similar the 2 are so it was very hard to choose between the 2 but I chose Seattle for far more sunshine hours and the potential for winters like the one it had this year.

Yeah we know and at our expense. Hopefully you will pay for what you got this winter with either a horrid summer or a bad winter next year. Here is hoping!

I would take a bad winter over bad summer. At least in the winter the weather is supposed to be bad.
