NWS NY just mentioned the B word. Now this is winter around here.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

THERE IS POTENTIAL FOR A SIGNIFICANT WINTER STORM...A
NOR`EASTER...TO AFFECT THE REGION MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY.
THE SYSTEM HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BRING WELL OVER 6 INCHES OF SNOW
ALONG WITH HIGH WINDS THAT WOULD RESULT IN BLIZZARD OR NEAR
BLIZZARD CONDITIONS FOR AT LEAST PORTIONS OF THE REGION.

WPC Storm Tracks, todays storm included.
WPC Winter Weather Forecasts

Today the storm is over Canada, will drop down to Kentucky tomorrow and start rounding the base. Goes off the North Carolina coast and explodes coming up. Enough cold air for snow.

I just hope New England bears the brunt of whatever happens.

SREF plumes are jumping. Has a 11" mean snowfall for BDR. 12" for Philly. Amazing.

Easy to read map. Scroll and click location on map. Black line is the mean total among all members for that model. Make sure you click latest run at the top. Save this link.

NCEP SREF Plume Viewer

Remember, all snow outputs are Based on 10:1. This could be 15:1 easily north of NYC. If this continues it could become a Top 10 snowstorm

For those in Philly...

Who thinks this will get close to the Feb 2010 blizzard in terms of totals/impact?
