Certainly not a bust here. I don't know how much is on the ground, but it's A LOT, and it's far from over.
Huge bust here. So far this winter, we have barely had any snow at all. They shut the whole city down for nothing. I just got in work, there was about an inch or two or the ground lol. Oh poor Bastardi, he had this thing so hyped up. I love when that guy has egg all over his face.

if there were a real storm causing much damage, you would be cursing him for not shutting the city down. Weather forecast is not 100% accurate. Blaming a politician for taking cautious measures is silly.

Bastardi is a private weather forecaster that believes we are headed into another ice age. He is a meterologist posing as a crackpot extreme politician. He spins politics into every single weather forecast. Obama is a constant target of his due to climate change policies. Him and his nutjob partner D'Aleo were going on about the 24" the ECMWF was forecasting for us just on Sunday. Other meteos I followed were much more cautious. Bastardi is always exposed as the cold and snow bias guru he is.
For New England, the storm could be historic. But according to the National Weather Service, the storm developed about 90 miles east of previous forecasts and is departing more quickly than predicted. Forecasters said sinking air, or subsidence – a reaction to steeply rising air in heavy snow bands to the east, effectively halted the heaviest precipitation in its westward march to New Jersey last night.
That small shift can mean the world in a storm like this, where snowfall total gradients are often razor thin. In the Boxing Day Blizzard of December 2010, parts of western New Jersey received just a few inches of snow while places like Elizabeth were digging out from nearly three feet.

At 1am I saw something I didn't like but kept buying the forecasts and previous thoughts

Poor folks in Eastern MA have no idea what we're talking about as they dig out from 1.5-2 feet of snow which is still falling. Consider yourselves lucky if you didn't want 1-3 feet. Some are actually getting that or close.
