Brattleboro VT, looking east towards NH, 7 p.m. April 22, 2015.

Right before sunset the clouds cleared & rain stopped, the light was golden on the (still bare) maple trees.

As a result, saw a rainbow, albeit a very faint & brief one. Took photo, but it didn't really show up...

Still Gran Canaria

Barranco del Laurel and Tilos de Moya
We're entering the greenest part of Gran Canaria.

It actually starts to look just a little bit like Southern Germany

We're going up

Not far from the clouds

Are there many eucalyptus trees there?

The town I lived in a couple of weeks ago in early April. Even at 600m altitude, by this time of the year it is very warm during the day in the sun
Eh, that town isn't that close to Grenoble! Speaking of Grenoble, it's 25°C there atm.

Yeah it's about an hour and a half away, but probably the biggest city nearby except for Geneva!

I agree with you.. they look much more impressive in real life.. they look even bigger when you are at the top of them. Amazing views!

Nice photos of the Canaries. I expected it to look drier, I guess it has microclimates. Some of the buildings remind me of Andalucía.

Every time I see logs on the side I think FIREWOOD! lol Looks like they are cutting more trees to make the parkway safer. Massive project since the big storms we had in 2010-2012

So odd to see those bare trees, when I'm sitting here looking at the deep summery greens out my window...lol.

Your Paris photos show that Western Europe is far ahead of a large chunk of the US in the leafing out of trees. Pathetic given our low latitude compared to there. High sun and bare trees look bizarre.

The only season it seems lately that is warmer over here is summer. The other nine months of the year it is looking more and more like we are subarctic while Europe is lush green.

Way to go global warming lol. Just put one big permanent blue blob over us, and red blobs over the rest of the planet.
