What's so comfortable about being drenched by rain nearly everyday of the year?

Definitely not Australia's worst climate. I appreciate oceanic climates more and more recently. An oceanic climate with thunderstorms and nearby mountains would be the best.

I doubt that they get a lot of thunderstorms.

About as "blah" as a climate as you can get. Only positive is the precipitation (I like high precipitation). F+.

F. Cool, cloudy, boring and very rainy. Winter is swamped by cold rain with May to October all getting over 15 days of rain over 1mm. Propbavly noy cold enough for snow, so just 50s and relentless cold rain and drizzle.

Summers are pretty weak. This climate is similar as Valdivia in Chile, the main difference is that Valdivia has a warmer summers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valdivia#Climate Both are very wet!!!

Summer Temps: 12/20 (still better than most of the UK)
Winter Temps: 6/20
Rainfall: 25/40 (A decent yearly total but too many rainy days during winter and not a big enough rainfall total during summer. Plus no thunderstorms).
Sunshine: 2/10 Too cloudy
diurnal range: 6/10 (too much variation during summer.
Total: 51/100
grade: c-

E.

Shocking climate, no summers to speak of, wet, skin penetrating winters and an all-round ridiculous number of rain days. Almost never gets thunder either. A pure dump even by Tasmanian standards.

It doesn't offer anything for heat lovers, snow lovers, or storm lovers. Most you'll get is sideways rain with howling winds and jacket weather 90% of the year. Makes London's summers look subtropical!!! I would 100% rather live in the SE of the UK.

To get an idea of this horses ass climate, here is the daily obs for crummer 2016/17:

Strahan, Tas - December 2016 - Daily Weather Observations
Strahan, Tas - January 2017 - Daily Weather Observations
Strahan, Tas - February 2017 - Daily Weather Observations

And an example of winter:

Strahan, Tas - June 2016 - Daily Weather Observations
Strahan, Tas - July 2016 - Daily Weather Observations
Strahan, Tas - August 2016 - Daily Weather Observations

Would be a perfect habitat for the anti-summer foamers on the Victorian faction of Weatherzone/Australian Weather Forum. Penis Mcghee
