IDK I have been looking at weatherbug and accuweather... Last gold wave NWS said 52F for key biscayne Low was 47 so I tend to put more weight on other forecasts.

TWC says 33F, Weather Underground and AccuWeather both say 34F for me.
The difference wasn't that big. Anyway, as to the bolded I suspect Long Island recorded warmer than coastal SC. I'm not sure if NYC without a UHI should that much colder than Long Island.
NYC's low this morning was 19 F. Lows on Long Island, coastal CT, and coastal NJ were in the single digits. I think the UHI has a very strong effect.
