Hmm. I don't think it's as good as the forecast suggests. Supposed to rain on the mountains. Freezing level goes up to 8700 feet:

This thread cant go too far yet.. March ain't over yet.

Cold front comes through today.
Inverted trough may setup tonight and bring snow showers
Clipper on Tuesday maybe bringing snow
Coastal storm Easter weekend maybe.

Active pattern continues and winter not done. Might as well make it a 3 month season and make April Cold and Snowy too. lol

A clipper... A clipper this time of year? Nuts And cold enough to snow?

Tuesday morning Euro has it over Michigan. Snowy day for them.

By 2am Wednesday morning its directly over NYC. Snowing across PA, NYC, NY, MA, CT. 1-3"

GFS says blizzard conditions next weekend but there's the April storm thread for that one.. Strong and Juicy coastal storm. Boston the bullseye with this update.

DO NOT TAKE STOCK IN NEXT WEEKEND YET!

Not done yet.. Saturday. Thanks to an inverted trough

https://twitter.com/Met_CindyFitz/st...169473/photo/1

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAUNTON MA
655 AM EDT FRI MAR 27 2015

THE MODELS CONTINUE TO SHOW A WAVE OF LOW PRESSURE FORMING ALONG
THE COLD FRONT WELL OFFSHORE. THEY ALSO SHOW AN INVERTED TROUGH
EXTENDING UP ALONG THE EAST MASSACHUSETTS COAST. WE SAW THIS
DURING THE SNOW BLITZ LAST MONTH INDICATING AN INCREASED CHANCE
OF SNOW SHOWERS IN EASTERN MASS OVERNIGHT AND SATURDAY MORNING.

MODEL MOISTURE FIELDS ARE MARGINAL. TEMPERATURES FAVOR SNOW
DURING THIS TIME...ALTHOUGH MORE MARGINAL FOR SNOW THAN OUR
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE. ALL-IN-ALL MOST PLACES SHOULD SEE LESS THAN
AN INCH OF SNOW. BUT THE EXTRA SUPPORT FROM THIS TROUGH COULD
YIELD A SLUSHY 1-2 INCHES ACCUMULATION. TEMPERATURES OF 25-35 ARE
BORDERLINE FOR THIS ACCUMULATION...SO CONFIDENCE IN THOSE NUMBERS
IS LOW- MODERATE.

TEMPS WILL WARM A LITTLE DURING SATURDAY MORNING AND SHOULD BE
ENOUGH TO CHANGE ANY SNOW OVER TO RAIN BY MIDDAY. TEMPS ALOFT
SUPPORT MAX TEMPS IN THE 30S.

Heads up farmers. Wish they would put a date. So stupid putting out an alert map without a time frame. For tonight and Sunday morning.

What else is new. More snow here right now. Coming right off the ocean hitting arctic air.

Trough going backwards (inverted) into New England. Look at the moisture semi spinning but moving East to West. Terrain enhances snowfall with this setup

Might be snowing for hours and accumulated 1-3".
