People act like it's room temperature all year but really it's not, it's actually uncomfortably warm and muggy all year. It's like having July in Minneapolis all the time. Doesn't sound very appealing to me at all.
Agreed! Coastal California weather is far better in.my opinion.
It gets down right cold in some places. Even in the warmer coastal areas it can get down in the upper 60's at night in the winter which feels cold after being in the upper 80's during the day.

Im actually not sure if you are being serious.....
When I flew back from living in Maui, I walked off the plane...thinking I'd dressed heavy...BWAHAHHAHAHA.
A t-shirt, shoes, and slacks doesn't prepare you for -10 degree weather when the snow starts....

Geez, I grew up in Miami, but I am not thin blooded at all when it comes to the cold. You honestly find the 50s too cold? I think the 50s feel amazing, and honestly, so do the 20s when you're bundled up properly.
I was on a three hour drive to Austin today, temperatures outside in the high 40s to low 50s. The car's AC was off and it was miserably hot inside, so when I rolled the windows, the air felt great! When we finally go out of the car, I told my boyfriend "Back in Miami, people call this 'freeeesing bro" and he just rolled his eyes like "Are you kidding me?"
Anywhere where the record low is in the mid-50s seems too hot! 50s isn't even harsh, it's pleasant springlike/autumnal lol

Upper 60s at night? Cold? That's hilarious.
Actually any temperatures above 60F feel hot at night to me.

Depends. Hilo is a lot muggier than the Kona side of the Big Island, for example. And Volcano is actually quite cool and pleasant. All of these different climates exist on a single island.
Seems to me people from cold winter places prize Hawaii's climate like no one else. But if you're from a temperate place, like California, HI's climate may be overrated.
Then again, it all depends on whether or not you run hot or cold personally, whether your body handles dry or wet heat better, etc.

Houston is not the same topography as those cities. Its more like Louisiana - New Orleans. Houston in the Winter is nice. Average low of 55, and if you see snow, it melts before it hits the ground. San Jacinto, which is a part of Houston, is where the Mexican forces camped after the Alamo, and where Sam Houston's forces caught up to Santa Ana. More oasis like than San Antonio or Laredo.

Ive read Hawaii (Big Island) has a varied climate depending on where you are. One end getting mostly shade and remaining very humid, and the other end sunny and more arid.
