People act like it's room temperature all year but really it's not, it's actually uncomfortably warm and muggy all year. It's like having July in Minneapolis all the time. Doesn't sound very appealing to me at all.
The idea that Hawaii or Florida is a climate paradise originates from tourists visiting from cool climates during winter. Most of these people only see these places in the comfortable season, so that's all they have to base their opinion on. We always want what we can't have. Loads will say Hawaii's climate is great during winter when they're cold and miserable, but if asked at the end of August I bet some will say it would be too much for them. We need change in order to not dislike where we live. The tropics gets old fast.

I visited Honolulu in July and Miami in June and had absolutely zero problem with the heat and humidity. Honolulu even felt a bit cool late at night in shorts and t-shirt with the breeze blowing
Ugh. The heat lovers on this forum are poorly representative of the general population.
Yea I think most of the general population would tire of the place quickly. I think the reason people tend to think the climate is so great is that they associate it with things like luxury oceanside resorts and sparkling blue beaches and the like.
But once they begin living their usual mundane lives there I'm sure the nasty humidity would have them longing for snow in no time.

Minnie is continental so it has a larger temperature and humidity range in July than most of Hawaii has all year.

Actually I'm sort of surprised how many people on here like the cold. I've always preferred cold weather myself, but it seems like at least 70 percent of people prefer the heat. Here it's closer to 50-50.
