People are asking me if there's a sun up there.

Anyone counting the actual sunshine past 4 days in the NY/MA/CT/RI area??

I think we only had 4-6hrs of sun last 4 or 5 days..

I'm not complaining about these clouds. 60s and 70s is fine with me in June.

Current Map

Anyone notice the dew points in Eastern MA?

53° Boston.
50° Nantucket
42° in Taunton

I see Marthas Vineyard was in the 30s earlier this morning. Nice! http://w1.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KMVY.html

110 F in St. Augustine?

That would shatter any record. Matter of fact, it would break the all-time record high for Florida.

Miserable again here in upstate SC.. The only good news, looking on the bright side, is that the 5 days next week that were forecast to be 100+ degrees have dropped down to 95-97 degrees.

Psychologically.. Hitting 100 is a bigger deal than the actual temperature difference between 97 and 100 degrees.

That is why those models, in winter as well, are always off. They should just be viewed as trends. It is going to be hot, or cold. But model temps are always laughable that far out.

Lucked out with a shower just a bit ago. Knocked the temp from 93 down to 80 - a nice little jab to Mr Heat...lol.

We were on the edge of the cell, so the sun was shining for part of the shower, but we did get some decent thunder.

Hoping tomorrow will deliver too - either way, it won't be quite as hot, thank goodness.

Upper 60's and cloudy here, in mid-June. What gives? Good thing tomorrow will be well into the 80's, I'm beginning to feel like I'm in coastal Oregon.

No complaints here either. Our dewpoint is warmer than your air temperature!

Interesting to see some of us getting what we want with both ends of the spectrum. Not sure why anyone except for plants would need dew points over 70 but hey... people ask me why I want it to be below 30. lol

3 Maps

6pm

Look what the clouds and storms did for Atlanta. 70s! Nice break there. 90s up to Virginia. More convective storms around today.

Current Heat index down south. Day #5 in a row feeling like triple digits in some areas.
