3rd 35°C/95°F+ day since Saturday.

Saw what appeared to be funny looking clouds, only to realize a few minutes later that it was a wildfire:

It's like stepping into a soup bowl here.

Sadest thing dewpoints are 69F here but it feels different. How can I prove this though. It feels worse then the south. Air is so still, there's no air movement. Clay soil sucks!

I think dewpoints of upper 60s here is like mid 70s in lets say Illinois or maybe even Florida. How can this be proved?

Some Awesome Satellite Photos of the big Fall like Storm over Canada heading to southern Hudson Bay. Temps are in the 50s and 60s under this Low Pressure system which is stacked on all levels.

Ironic where the High dew points were we pointed out??

"Precipitable water imagery from model, comma head of strong cyclone w/storms over Iowa matches up well w/satellite"

Another look as it drags a front with it that isn't making it too far south.

When's the last time you were in the south during summer?

I think the only reason a 69 F dew point would feel worse in CT is because it doesn't happen as frequently as down here so they're not as acclimated. Just like 40 F feels worse in FL than in CT. Though, if I were visiting CT right now with the lower sun angle and dew point and temperature, it would feel very benign to me. People underestimate the power of the sun angle. In CT, it's a good 15-16 degrees lower than down here. A big difference.

Wind. Period. When I was in Florida there was a friggin breeze.

And maybe this is why it feels worse. Our temps are well above normal so we're not used to the temps.

Dewpoints are normal. Mid 60s is normal for here now.. Upper 60s is slightly above, nothing unusual. Just feels so Oppressive.

And You cant compare Sandy soil to Clay. Period. Clay holds moisture so you feel it more closer to the ground..

It's only that big of a difference at solar noon. By 1.5 hours after solar noon the sun angle is 8° lower; 3hr15min about the same. The sun strength is proportional to the cosine of sun angle, so at the highest angles, sun strength doesn't change much. At solar noon, the sun is 8% in Miami than CT.

Feels like it's windy too often. If you're on a bicycle at 15 mph, you're getting a 15 mph wind into you. If it is windy, seems like more often than not I get a headwind which is tiring.
