You are African-American though aren't you? I would get fried under those same conditions. I went to Key West one year in May, and had to hide from the sun as I was getting so fried. I hate sunburn. Easily can ruin a vacation.

Hot day up to Montreal area. Here's the 5pm heat index values. Feels like 96° in Hartford (and Montreal). Just a couple a clouds around.

I find myself posting Heat Index maps more in summer than actual temps. Temps are just in the 80s and low 90s Nothing interesting. Dewpoints in the 60s/70s make it interesting with the Heat Index.

I mean, the mid 90s temps are all the way in South Carolina. Only couple local spots north of there like Morristown NJ at 95. Hartford at 94. Otherwise I don't see anyone else.

Only 80s in VA right now but heat index mid-upper 90s.

That 100° in PA is New Castle. National Weather Service

^ Wow, no cool spots at all. What a brutal day. (Though it actually didn't feel as bad here as I was expecting it would... still very bad, though.)

Sitting outside right now (of course sitting still like a lazy person) and while this weather sucks, its not as bad as typical around here. Kinda strange actually. But consistent this yr with those unusual dry days we had.

Hmmmm, drier ground coming into effect now? Not as muggy as it could be if it was saturated more.

Burn grass burn!!

La Guardia was 95 I think. It reached at least 94 degrees for the first time this year, after happening cero times in 2014.

Back in the thirties in BC. 32 in Penticton. Mid-upper thirties expected in the Thompson-Okanagan region over the next few days.

The heat is back, sadly.
