Low temp of 58 for an hour or so is not a break.

Max temp in the 80s days on end is not a break.

Im sure you may have gotten a break but not here for a while

Other than Saturday, humidity's been high about a week, usually with above average temperatures. Saturday, maybe Sunday the weekend before. I remember both Thursday and Friday having quite cool mornings.

Is the rain done? Or is more coming? I see a narrow band in the Berkshire hills, but nothing past that.

Dewpoint 78°F (26°C)

And Ericka out on the Atlantic has a chance of coming here. Hopefully no wind shear or anything to weaken it.

Gah. And it's only 9 am!

I get annoyed at the heat index graph in the NOAA hourly forecast, heat index seems useless — it's only a degree or two warmer than the actual temperature so it makes the temperature graph harder to read. Rather just look at temperature and dewpoint individually than use a "real feel" index. But other people live in places where the heat index has some meaning. This sad story:

http://www.cnn.com/2015/08/08/us/new...french-deaths/

The humid vs dry heat debates are rather endless, but I suspect a similar incident would be less likely in a 100°F heat index with cooler temperatures and higher humidity. Can't find the temperature that day on NOWdata, no nearby station.

Started a thread on it. Euro throws us a BS result again...or maybe? I think we still have remnants of Danny to deal with so how can Erika get close or stay strong? //www.city-data.com/forum/hurri...8-25-15-a.html

Rainier webcams. Awesome to see when its snowing or there is snow! I like the East view the best. You can see who's enjoying the snow by how many are in the parking lot.

Not much rain with this front. Here's the radar estimates past 48hrs up to 8am this morning.

Usually pretty spot on..The black areas here showing well with 0". lol The light blues are probably radar picking up the drizzles, mist or atmosphere moisture

Of course, models have it JUST missing us. South FL weather sucks so much that they can't even be good at the one interesting thing they can produce (Hurricanes/Tropical Storms). Even thunderstorms are hard to come by this year.
