Hopefully all that humidity isn't about to envelop us. Weekend looks dry at least. Look how consistent the west coast, all within a few degrees of 50°F. Most of the lower dew points away from the coast are from elevation. You can see a bit of the monsoon starting to enter Arizona, see the 63°F in the south.

Oceanic climates certainly have an undeserved reputation of being boring, although I guess Paris is on the warmer side of oceanic, almost what I would refer to as a 'temperate' climate instead of oceanic.

Seems like if you go southeast of Paris is starts like a bit more continental. Oceanic maybe should be looks as a gradient, rather a simple yes/no.

Except Parisian heat is likely to be a dry heat, which allows faster warm-ups than NYC's humid heat. Plus, NYC is adjacent to the ocean which makes heat waves harder in late spring. We reached 90°F twice already.

I think you should put "current" location in your header. LOL I never know where you are when you say "here"

Anyway... here's what the latest GFS says for Trenton, NJ

Doesn't look cool..but doesn't look too consistently hot except a couple of days. The 500Heights (DM) is never in the 590s (which means HOT pattern) but as always mid-long range can change tomorrow. 580s is very warm.

in fact GFS says next Saturday 2pm Trenton will be 92°. Euro shows 80s

No organized storms either. Just fronts and convective storms now and then

It's like a switch was flipped. Damn. Not look "hot" at all going forward at least for the Northeast. I'm sure the Southeast will get cooking soon. Still got a lot of summer left.

But I don't mind these 60s/70s. I'd like to have another "year without summer".
lol Im sure you would cambium. in winter if you start saying its gonna be a torch and sunny and warm which is what you where saying in December it actually means it will be cold and snowy which is what later happened. in summer if you say heat wave what actually happens is a cold wave I guess lol. we do have a broken up heat wave in the forecast for week 2 and 3 of June so don't say anything about it cambium.
