5pm looks like me & you got some stubborn clouds. Sun is out but on Dim.

I just realized I like clouds, because they hide the sun in warm months, but I like mid-upper level ones. I hate low clouds. They make things look too dreary. Like now, looks like mid level clouds and things brightened up even though the sun is hiding.

Skies finally cleared! Great Radiational cooling night..

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAUNTON MA
723 PM EDT SAT JUN 6 2015

LOCAL SEABREEZES SHOULD BREAK DOWN SHORTLY AFTER SUNSET. SKY COVER WILL CONTINUE TO DIMINISH OVERNIGHT. UPDATED THE NEXT FEW HOURS OF THE FORECAST TO BRING THEM BACK IN LINE WITH OBSERVED TRENDS.

TONIGHT... HIGH PRESSURE IN CONTROL. LIGHT WINDS. CONDITIONS SHOULD BE FAIR TO CLEAR. RADIATIONAL COOLING SHOULD PROCEED ESPECIALLY OVER THE INTERIOR. MAY SEE A FEW COOL SPOTS WITH TEMPERATURES DROPPING BELOW THE 40-DEGREE MARK. WENT WITH A CONSENSUS OF MOS-GUIDANCE BUT DROPPED IT BY SEVERAL DEGREES FOCUSING ON THE AREAS WHICH CLIMATOLOGICALLY RADIATE OUT WELL.

I was going to mention there was frost advisory up north. But I thought I should check, Cambium would post that right away. NWS forecast had a low of 38°F tomorrow morning. I was skeptical. Upgraded to a more reasonable 43°F.

Cleared up just before 6 pm. Sky has a very clear blue to it not a single cloud. Low dew point night today and tomorrow.

Hmm. I'm not quite the same. I dislike many of the upper level if they make it look hazy; a featureless white is a bit ugly, IMO. Another reason high dew points annoy me, even if they don't bother that much comfort-wise, high humidity is prone to ugly haze. Low clouds are interesting with shape to them; what matters is having a shape not low or high, though low ones are more often dismal. I enjoyed the clouds early last week, though it would be very dreary to get them everyday. I didn't answer your thread because I don't have an exact technical type that's my favorite so I wasn't sure how to respond. Anyhow, here's some photos of clouds I liked this spring:

It was very cloudy and dreary here this morning, but the sun came out around noon. Turned out to be a pretty nice day with a high of 75 F/24 C. Right now it's a lovely 50 F/10 C.

High of 93F where I'll be tomorrow. Good grief. And I thought I was going to get away from the heat.
