Meanwhile, we never got winter out west, well at least not since early December. Even though it was the mildest winter on record, it was the 2nd earliest ice wine harvest on record (needs to get down to -8C for 3 days in a row for ice wine harvest). This year it happened on November 13th (the earliest was November 5th in 2003). Some years it can be February before it gets that cold.
