Lisbon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Lisbon, Portugal is similar in all areas but rainfall amount (the amount of rainy days is still close).

I'll do my own climate as well: Greenville, South Carolina - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hotter summers than Reno, but sort of close:

Anyway, since Richmond was in the same country:

to be honest i couldn't find one that matches Greenville, SC well... best i got before giving up was somewhere in south-central Japan... like Osaka, Japan:

Osaka - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

diurnal ranges aren't as high though... (and record lows aren't nearly as low in Japan)... basically a more tempered Greenville.

Karaj, Iran for Reno, NV:
Karaj - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Karaj is near Tehran but it is a better fit for Reno.

Overall very close and they are almost the same elevation as well...

now its time to break the thread...

find one for Baku, Azerbaijan:
Baku - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

i always thought this climate was so interesting and i would be surprised if someone could find one just like it. it is so unique. Hot summers, chilly but well regulated UK winters... low precipitation.

Baku has a very uniquely low diurnal range. However, I did find this climate:

Carson City, Nevada - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Find one for Mexico City:

Harare is pretty close to Mexico City, except for a bit more sunshine and less extreme record lows:

Any matches for Madrid?

Not really, Oregon comes close but it's a bit too cool with more common but lighter rains.

Medford, Oregon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Any matches for Philly?

I found Berlin, similar temperature range, Philly has higher overall max in summer but record lows and highs are similar, and similar amount of rain/precipitation days.

Any matches for my hometown of Boston?

A bit cool and dry, but the amount of rainy days is similar, and the temperature is still respectably close.

I've noticed that the Eastern U.S. seems to be somewhat unique when it come to climates, same with China and Japan.
