Yeah I saw that. Even more impressive.

Lol, Sodankylä muncipality (our equivalent of a county) is almost as large in land area as CT, but the muncipality has 8800 inhabitants. So not even many snow lovers here have gotten anything so far.

The past two mornings have been the first two that reached freezing this year, and both mornings it got down to 23F/-5C. The afternoons have been mild and sunny, mid 50s.

It's 2:30 in the afternoon over there, and:

NYC struggling to go above 50F.

Toronto, Boston, Buffalo, and much of upstate NY, PA, and NJ struggling for 45F.

Montreal, Ottawa, and Northern NE struggling for 40F.

Saranac Lake struggling to reach ... freezing.

Flurries, f*cking flurries.

It's like 50 degrees, wtf. I've never seen flakes this early, and at temps this warm.

The temp will cool down during flurries.

Yup.. (see Pics in Photo thread). Guess we can expect this with the 850mb level at -8C over us. NUTS! Even the lightest stuff will find a way to the ground because it's so cold aloft.

So basically we (I) had our first frost, freeze, and flakes in the same day. Too bad my station stopped at 30.0°F otherwise it would of been 1st 20s too.

What month is this?

Some snowfall totals.
