A line of heavy thunderstorms along a cold front just passed through the Fort Worth area.

We reached 100* yesterday, but likely won't make it above the mid 80s today.

Waking up to 70s even in Montreal. Temps are 15-20 above norm north of Virginia.

dewpoints in the 70s near the coast south of Boston.

Enjoy it, we know the seasons change and this can't last forever

So after a few chilly days ahead this week, I'm more confident that we will finally see an above normal month. Haven't seen one since May

Record breaking warm September might be possible?

Checking our precipitation totals, our summer rainfall was above average. July and August got about 4 inches, June 8 inches. Downstate NY looks much drier than here, a lot more brown grass and scattered "changing leaves". Only thing that makes it feel dry is the lack of rain for the last few weeks. You can see here how the storm track kept missing downstate NY / coastal CT

August was drier in the Northeast

That website has more maps and a better mapping interface. Cambium reminded me to recheck it.

Seems like it for the Northeast. This after one of the warmest August months on record (3rd in NYC).
