Some photos from today and this past week. We are due thunderstorms later this evening and into tonight, I'll try and capture it if they are good enough.
This is near where I work, lovely lake area. Brown grass as we haven't really had any rain for a month now. Taken a couple of days ago.
Is that a natural field? Looks drought-like to me, though I know grass goes brown easier there.

Cherries have been ripe now for a couple of weeks, they cause a huge mess though and attract lots of birds.. it's weird as most websites say that cherries in the UK ripen in July or August, this tree in my garden always blossoms in early April and has ripe cherries from some point in the last week of May

No. When it is wet snowing the windows are wet with water droplets. The temp when all of that snow fell was -5c and lower, it ain't gonna be wet snow then, we don't normally have that much snow lying.
The cold temps made the ratio higher hence the bigger amounts.

You're using wet snow to mean something else, that's not what wet snow, or at least I've heard it used. I explained what my definition was before.
Why does the grass go so brown in this country? It's not that dry, nor is it hot.
The Airfield at work is brown too, as is a lot of the parks around here.

Didn't realize England grew cherries.
As far as I know it's natural.. this year hasn't been particularly dry, but since 14th May the highest rainfall amount we have had in a day is 2.6mm, so it was likely dew or something else
That photo sure looks like wet snow. Temps can be -5C and snow ratios can still be low (wet) or normal. You can't just look at the surface temps. Snow doesn't fall from the ground.

June 12, 2015 Update.. Wet & Cool beginning of June. Finally getting warmer now for the garden to start growing again.
My harvest this morning. Pickling Cucumbers. Not enough to actually pickle so I'll be eating these. Mmmmmm.
Nice plants!
I still haven't harvested much yet, but I got a late start.
