That grass is kind of ugly. I'm happy it never fully browns here.

I'd be depressed about that, too.

It browns and yellows but not to the same extent. Even in very dry months, it never gets quite that brown. I think our soil retains more moisture.

It was looking rather yellow here, but after all that rain on Saturday, it's become greener. My garden in particular was very dry and not growing much if at all.

The grass is obviously much greener in winter. If we had green grass like January, that would mean it's very wet.

That's the opposite of what I'm used to, we dry out in the fall.

It must be a particular grass that turns brown very easily with moderate drought. I've never seen any sport field that brown anywhere in Italy despite drier and sunnier summers and much higher temperatures.

Stunning pics of Oregonand California! Very scenic coastline they have there. Seems like it has a nice mix of nature and human settlement. Not quite deserted, but certainly not overpopulated either.

Might be due to soil as well.. mostly clay in SE England I think? That probably dries out quite quickly

This is traffic.

England doesn't get proper traffic.

The best of all is that the road was empty compared to normal..
