If you're going to a week at a beachhouse this summer (you choose the time of the summer), which beach would you choose? You can choose any week between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend.

A) Laguna Beach, California: low humidity, rainproof in summer, warm days, cool nights, cool SST, especially in early summer but the water usually warms up to around 70 F in August and September (but not consistently, there are still bouts in late summer where the SST can be in the 60s).

B) Miami Beach, high humidity, hot days and warm nights, short lived thunderstorms almost every afternoon and some evenings but most mornings have good beach weather. Warm, bathtub like SST throughout summer. Hurricane threats, especially in late summer.

Laguna without a doubt... More aesthetically pleasing in my mind as well.

Considering I'm going to South Beach on the 16th, I choose Miami. Warmer temps, and much warmer SST's.

Cool. Have fun here man.

And I choose Miami Beach too if we're speaking strictly about Summer beach vacations.

Laguna, even if Miami has warmer water, I'd rather be comfy while relaxing on the sand too.

Miami. A real summer with thunderstorms and 70F+ dewpoints.

Laguna Beach is beautiful.

Its lows seem a bit low for a coastal LA city though (at least compared to Santa Monica)?

I've never been to Miami, but I grew up going to Laguna Beach frequently (and still do), so I would choose Miami just for the novelty. I have to say though, rain every day in the summer and swimming in bath-warm ocean water in a hot climate sound fairly unpleasant.

Laguna is too cool while Miami is too rainy.

Give me some european mediterranean location instead, with higher lows than Laguna and more stable / less steamy weather than Miami.

Thanks. I'm sure we will have a blast!

Laguna Beach doesn't even come close to Miami Beach this June
