We also had a few ones in Spain with the weather fans of Meteored, and some of them even used to go to chase thunderstorms as well.
Ah I can feel them. I use to wake up early in the morning just to see frost and fog or to see if the models are correct and we will have snow or thunderstorms and I don 't want to miss them. :P I remember my screams when it was snowing hahaha
Might go to Greece during Summer 2016, so I may be interested in meeting up.
