Since I like averaging climates to create new ones so much, I had an idea. What do you guys think is the average climate experienced by humans around the globe? I know this sounds confusing, let me attempt to explain. To get this fictional climate, one would have to average all the climates in the world, but weighted by population. Also, for simplicity, the Southern Hemisphere's averages would have to be flipped e.g. mix Sydney's January with New York's July. This way you get an accurate representation of summer and winter for the average human. Here are my predictions for what it would look like.

Cfa
Avg temps in coldest month: 61/43 (16/6)
Avg temps in hottest month: 90/72 (32/22)
Avg precipitation: 49" (125 cm)
Sunshine hours: 2400
Roughly 30 degrees away from the equator. A fairly strong summer maximum in precipitation.
It would resemble a slightly cooler Houston or New Orleans.

After you guys make some predictions I'll attempt to model this world climate.

That seems a little hot for the whole world.

I just guessing.

Winter: 3-12 (37-56)

Summer: 20-30 (68-86)

The average global temp is 59 F (15 C) so I would guess something like this:

Winter: 51/35 (11/2)

Summer: 83/67 (28/19)

Average precip: 30 inches

Average sunshine: 2250 hours

yea OP's is way too warm. no way my climate is the average that most humans experience (especially summer), though i guess with all of those Indians and Indonesians with their sticky climates it might negate all of those mild climates of Europe... but still there are a lot of heavy hitter cities with huge populations like New York City and Shanghai that experience chilly winters.

i'm going to go with this:

Avg. Coolest Month: 56°F/37°F - 13°C/3°C

Avg. Warmest Month: 84°F/66°F - 29°C/19°C

Avg. Precipitation: 40" - 101 cm

Avg. Annual Sunshine: 2300 Hours

The average global temp is 15 C. I highly doubt that the coolest month in an average climate is 18 C.

though i agree with you... China, India, and Indonesia are fairly warm and wet on average and have 1/3 of the world's population. and then you have other Equatorial populations, and Southern US Cities, Mexico, Australia etc. so idk. that is like 1/2 of the world's population that potential has a climate as warm (sometimes warmer) and nearly as wet as his average. its hard to judge... i don't think it is an outrageous prediction, but not likely...

I started doing it a bit. I was a little too warm in my estimates, but not by much. The average highs in the hottest month were consistently in the upper 80s. Winters were warmer as well. Winters were closer to 64/46. I'm going to keep going. Currently my model looks like a wet version of Los Angeles.

Also, just a reminder, China and India are nearly half the world's population. What do they have in common? Hot humid summers. Currently, my model has about 8 inches of rain in July. (Or January in the southern hemisphere)
