B-, bordering a C+. Similar to Campbell Island as posted earlier, but slightly better due to more chance of snow and heavier rainfall, which makes it more interesting.
I wanted to give it an F but I accidentally gave it a D-.
This place sucks.
The temperatures aren't too bad overall, but not being able to grow trees is a deal breaker for me. The typical rule of thumb is there must be at least one month with a mean of 50°F/10°C or more to support a forest, something this place lacks.
I find it particularly fascinating the lack of any warm considering that it is only at 46° latitude. I notice islands in the southern hemisphere tend to be much cooler than islands in the northern hemisphere at equivalent latitudes. I don't know the exact reason for this (maybe someone can shed some light) but it probably has something to do with Antarctica. I wouldn't be surprised though if there are other factors at play as well.
