Something is wrong with Savannah, GA's high temperature reports. For a moment I thought they set a new record high for January yesterday.

I wonder if the MJO phase predicted for mid February is moderating some the cold from the PV/-AO

Unless something really unusual happens, I think long-lasting cold won't happen this winter. More likely for the Midwest than the Northeast.
