How much seasonal variation do you like? My poll only involves subtropical climates and not other types. Assuming identical sunshine hours, precipitation patterns, and humidity levels with all climates having an annual average of 65 F (high 75 F and low of 55 F), here are 5 choices to pick from. All get 2500 sunshine hours and 40 inches of rain (evenly distributed) a year; all of them also get about 30 thunderstorms per year.

A) Average high of 75 F and average low of 55 F every month of the year. Record high 95 F. Record low 35 F. This is a high elevation equatorial climate which explains the lack of seasonal variation.

B) Average high of 85 F and average low of 65 F in the hottest month and average high of 65 F and average low of 45 F in the coldest month. Record high 100 F. Record low 25 F. In the past 100 years, snow has only been reported 3 times with only one of them accumulating to half an inch.

C) Average high of 90 F and average low of 75 F in hottest month and average high of 55 and average low of 40 during the coldest month. Record high 103 F. Record low 10 F. Average snow accumulation is a trace each year; most years get zero snow but about once a decade, they get a 2-6 inch snow accumulation event.

D) Average high 100 F and average low of 70 F in the hottest month and an average high of 58 and an average low of 32 in the coldest month. Record high 114 F. Record low 5 F. Average snow accumulation is about 6 inches per year; some years get no snow while others get snowfall multiple times in winter. About one blizzard a decade.

I pick climate B.

B for me. It's like a warmer version of my own subtropical climate.

B. At least a little variation throughout the year is appreciated.

I would go for a mix of B and C. 85/70 in the warmest month, 60/45 in the coldest. I like a part of the year to be kind of cool. If I have to choose between B and C though, I'll take B.
