I understand you 100% on this issue. My ex-GF was like a Shiite Christian (lol) and she almost broke up with me one time because I wasn't Christian enough I don't understand how you can date solely based off your religion....seems so shallow and close-minded.
Well, to be fair, I am kind of suggesting the same thing, but the other way around. I'm not a fan of Christianity, and I would just have my doubts about whether it would be worthwhile to be in a relationship with one, and how they'd truly feel about me, an atheist interested in heathenry. Plus they'd have to profess a greater love for their god than for me.
I lean more towards only really being willing to date atheists or pagans. No one else.

Honestly with me, I don't give a **** if she's Christian, Pagan, Muslim, Jew, whatever......to each their own. As long as they don't try to force their views on me we're solid.

That's the thing, the religion thing was never even an issue until she tried to do that ****ery....that's what pissed me off. If it was an issue from the beginning she should have said something, instead of like 5 months into it...
And in general, I hardly ever talk about it. I talk about it sometimes with friends but not in a preaching type of way or anything.....just the impacts of religion on society type of thing.
Came up quite a bit with my ex and his Wiccan religion. He would do rituals and stuff. I wasn't as knowledgeable then about it, just curious, but I think it's kind of fake now. When it comes to paganism, Asatru appeals to me more.

My ex would just talk about praying a lot. Like she would tell me she prays for me sometimes and she would tell me that it bothered her that I didn't pray before meals () . I would take her praying for me as a nice gesture, but I didn't appreciate the "talk-downs" because I wasn't as religious...

I only mention it if someone brings it up. I'm not going be a douchebag and talk about it for no reason. Though I do someday want to run through a church on Sunday in a devil costume screaming "There's no god!".

LOL- let me know when you do it and I'll do it with you.
