Nei. He quoted some article claiming that outside of NYC (why NYC I have no Idea) UHI does not have a meaningful impact.

Frigging Tommy trying to tell me "your 58.8 avg low this February is impossible"

Well, in Key Biscayne which is an island in the ocean that's not that far from "urban", it wouldn't affect you, and your position in the ocean vs. inland cancels out the effect.

If Miami Beach is and Island and is far more urban than Key Biscayne and the average low there was 59.6 than why the **** is 58.8 on Key Biscayne unreasonable?

Yes, it was a peer-reviewed climatological study. It wasn't claiming UHI had no effect on temperatures, but was more to do with it not having much influence on the increase in temperatures over the past several decades.

Obviously not

My point simply was that a point the same distance inland as MIA and south of it was 6F colder than MIA

This proves a massive UHI

Miami Beach isn't really an island, more like a peninsula. Key Biscayne is literally enclosed by ocean by all sides.

NYC is much more concreted over for a much larger area than any other American city. Most weather station aren't in the city center anyway.

Well, ours is

Our station is located in the HOTTEST part of the city (based on a review of stations in the Miami city proper)
