I don't remember what early summer sounds like, I haven't paid much attention, lol. I just now that right now it's crickets and cicadas making noise in the evening (and the AC compressor lol), and it sounds wonderful
I was being ignorant having not experienced that level of humidity before.
I've experienced 37°C a few times before in PA and the Midwest, and unless you're thoroughly acclimatized to it it's hell. Now, OTOH, 37°C with low dew points, like what you'd find in Spain's interior, is comfortable enough to walk. For me anyway. I could never live in Houston, which is more or less a normal occurrence with high dew points.
