Crickets at night in the summer means it's late summer instead of early summer. Less birdsong in the morning, crickets at night

I would like my summer to be like that. 28c/18c

Lol, well he also went to Houston and Austin as well. He flew into NOLA and flew out from there though.

Yeah, I understand that. With me being the youngest, I always got treated like a baby still get kind of treated like to this day.

I think so too. I was a lot closer with my mom than to my dad.

Why do crickets come out more in late summer than early summer?

I don't remember what early summer sounds like, I haven't paid much attention, lol. I just now that right now it's crickets and cicadas making noise in the evening (and the AC compressor lol), and it sounds wonderful

Now you understand why we were skeptical when you said you hoped NYC would be 37°C

I was being ignorant having not experienced that level of humidity before.

I've experienced 37°C a few times before in PA and the Midwest, and unless you're thoroughly acclimatized to it it's hell. Now, OTOH, 37°C with low dew points, like what you'd find in Spain's interior, is comfortable enough to walk. For me anyway. I could never live in Houston, which is more or less a normal occurrence with high dew points.
