The LIRR doesn't have barriers, just conductors who clip the tickets, and sometimes they do it more than halfway through the ride.

Thought I've mentioned many times before. Grew up on Long Island, suburbs on NYC. About 35 miles east of Manhattan. My mom's office is a block from Macy's; she used to shop there once in a while during her lunch break.
