I took them my first couple years of college. It's a good option, but I always needed a break from college so the last couple years I just worked during the summer.
I don't get those people who spend their whole summer at the university.
Don't get it..obviously got nothing going on.
They are people that do summer electives so they don't have to do extra subjects during the semester. I certainly wouldn't do it but I can see why some people do it, if they're motivated enough.

Been here near Montpellier for a week now, only 3 completely sunny days, the first few were cloudy and almost a bit cool! Last year I stayed further east towards Italy and it was much warmer and more stable..
Oh well, it should be more summer like here for this coming week.. There must have been upwelling of some sorts, because the sea feels quite cold, could be a beach in the UK for all I know!
Chicago, New York and Great Lakes for three weeks.
Great Lakes? You gotta check out central New York - where I'm at currently. It's *so* beautiful, and there's endless stuff to do here.
I did the New York State Fair yesterday - had an awesome time. Best fair I've ever been to. I was there 11 hours...lol.
Might be going to Cooperstown tomorrow, since I haven't been. Will take it a bit easier today - but will check out a few local parks and neighborhoods. Can't wait to post up pics after my return.
I tell you what, I just love Syracuse and central New York - best spot in the whole USA, imo.
