Summer is almost over. Fall officially starts by 12:00AM on the dot, September 1st. Only a couple of days away.
Without going into the debate on meteorological seasons versus astronomical ones (I prefer the former), I tend to see the changing of the seasons as a gradual process. That's how nature is anyway.
I definitely don't see September 1st as "Fall" (nor do I see March 1st as "Spring" yet). I think the equinoxes are about the only time when astronomical seasons are right.

That's subjective. But selling fall foliage themed items in August is laughable when the leaves are at their peak in November. That's like selling gardening supplies alongside Christmas decorations.

I think so too, and I think March 1st feels more wintry than December 1st, although the stronger sunshine can help compensate for the slightly cooler temps.
