I'm glad dwellings here are designed to keep the house cool rather than trap heat like up north. Either way my house is way too warm and sticky from May-October.

My house is rather poorly insulated, so you can feel the chill quite easily

Whenever we get "cold snaps" down here indoor temps get very cold. Well, cold by our standards, sometimes down to the upper 50s (14-15 C)

I think that'd be cold by anybody's standards lol. Anything below 72F is too cold for me.

You don't have central heating?

This has been a warm September, average high so far has been 86 F / 30 C and average low has been 63 F / 17 C. Long term average is 82 F / 62 F (28 C / 16 C). We had one night where it briefly dropped below 50 F / 10 C on September 14, but most nights recently (last two weeks) have been 55-63 F / 13-17 C. It does feel quite a bit more comfortable. I am still wearing shorts almost every day and it is likely that shorts weather will continue into October.

Our air conditioning is still on. Usually it's the second half of October when the heat comes on, maybe even November.

Lol, I think the lowest I've seen is about 13 C and that was during a record breaking cold snap in January 2010.

I do, but it never crosses my mind to turn it on whenever it gets cold lol. I honestly don't mind having a chilly indoors, it's amazing for relaxing and sleeping.
